SPECIAL SERVICES

Life is full of sacred moments and we're here to walk with you through them.

We offer the following special services to support you and your family in significant life events:

Weddings

Wedding emphasizes faith and commitment to God's plan for marriage. It includes vows focused on love, honor, and faithfulness, with an added layer of spiritual significance. This ceremony features scripture readings, prayers, and blessings, highlighting the couple's desire to center their marriage on God's teachings and guidance.

Matthew 19:6 " So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

The couple on this ceremony expresses their desire to model their marriage after the relationship between Christ and the Church, highlighting sacrificial love and commitment.

House Dedication

“Every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of heavenly lights who does

not shift like changing shadows” 􀍾James 1:17. A house is certainly a blessing from God. Through this ceremony, we give the family a chance to give God thanks and praise for this blessing.

By dedicating their home unto the Lord, they are in fact dedicating themselves as a family to honor and serve the Lord.

Joshua 24:15 “As for􀆌 me and my household we will serve the LORD"

Child Dedications

We do not baptize babies because water baptism is for those who knowingly and willfully repented of their sins, believed in and received Christ and decided to become his disciple. A baby cannot do any of those. However, every parent wishes for God to bless their child and thank Him for the gift of life. This is where this ceremony comes in.

This ceremony is for parents who wish to have their own special event either at their home, in

the church or in a restaurant where they have invited guests.

When Jesus was only a baby, Joseph and Mary brought him to the temple to dedicate him to

God the Father (Luke 2: 22- 24). During Jesus’ earthly ministry, parents would regularly bring

children to Him so he could bless them (Matthew 19:13-14).

Pre-Marriage Counseling

Journey to 1 is a pre-marital counseling ministry of Lighthouse Christian Community, that  is a thoughtful and intentional process that prepares engaged couples for a lifelong, Christ-centered marriage. It goes beyond mere relationship advice, offering a spiritual, emotional, and practical foundation for a covenant that mirrors God’s love.

Through a series of guided sessions, couples explore important topics such as communication, finances, faith, intimacy, and future goals—ensuring they are well-equipped to build a strong, godly marriage before they exchange vows.

Done with humility and openness, Pre-marriage counseling can transform your engagement from a season of planning a wedding, into a sacred time of building a marriage—with God at the center.

Wake and Memorial Services

This ceremony  brings us as close to the reality of eternity as death. One moment our loved one is here—breathing, communicating, heart beating—and the next moment he is gone. Even though the body remains, anyone who has been present at the moment of death knows that body is empty and the person who once inhabited it has left. This ceremony implores the message that hope has been clearly proclaimed, by formal preaching of the gospel of Christ and with memorials by those who knew the deceased and can testify that he/she lived in the light of the hope of eternal life available in Christ.

Job 1: 21 - and exclaimed: “I left my mother’s womb naked, and I will return to God naked. The Lord has given, and the Lord has taken. May the name of the Lord be blessed.”

Pastoral Blessings and/or Hospital Visits

One of the most powerful forms of ministry is hospital visitation. You become Christ’s representative of healing, grace and comfort. The member or his loved one who is sick will not only feel closer to Christ, they will be closer to you and the church because of this visit.

The weak and infirm, the shut-in, the postpartum mother, those about to perish, and those coming out of a medical procedure—all need to receive the counsel, care, edification, instruction, and encouragement brought about by the Word of God.

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. (James 5:14)

I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. (Matthew 25:35–36)

If you're interested in any of these services or would like to know more about the process, we'd love to hear form you.
