WHO WE ARE
At Lighthouse, we are a spiritual family — grounded in God’s Word, led by His Spirit, and united in our calling to reflect His love to the world. Whether you're exploring faith or looking for a place to grow and belong, we invite you to discover who we are and the deeper story God is writing through our community.
OUR STORY
Lighthouse began in 1990 in Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa, when American missionaries Chuck and Sherry Quinley, sent by the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee), gathered with friends for a simple neighborhood volleyball game. That gathering became a Bible study, which soon grew into a small house church of 15 people.
As lives were transformed, the church steadily expanded — first building a church house inside the village, then moving Sunday services to Alabang Town Center. In 2001, Lighthouse moved to its permanent home on Buencamino Street, Alabang.
Driven by a heart for the community, Lighthouse launched outreach ministries including medical missions, kids’ programs, prison outreach, and care for abused women and children. Its reach also extended into the marketplace and government, while pastors partnered with global leadership networks like EQUIP (John Maxwell) and the HAGGAI Institute to train church leaders in South Manila.
In 2002, Rev. Dr. Albert Clavo became Senior Pastor. A former CPA, Pastor Albert holds a Master of Divinity from Fuller Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from Asbury Seminary. Under his leadership, Lighthouse has grown into a network of churches across the Philippines and continues to support missions work abroad all with one goal: to plant healthy, life-giving, and dynamic churches in every region of the nation.
When asked what he longs to see, Pastor Albert shared this prayer:
“I want to see people from all walks and all seasons of life become fully committed disciples of Jesus Christ.”“I want to see people from all walks and all seasons of life become fully committed disciples of Jesus Christ.”
By God’s grace, that vision is coming to life — one person, one family, and one community at a time.
OUR VISION
A Lighthouse of Loving Community and A Storehouse of Enriching Ministry for the Harvest of our Nation and the Nations
OUR MISSION
The Church of Jesus Christ in every generation and every nation is called to uphold the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18–19. While churches may express this calling in different ways, the heart of Jesus’ command remains the same: to go, make disciples, and build His Kingdom.
At Lighthouse, we respond to this call through seven mission expressions that guide everything we do.
Evangelize our World
Experience God
Encourage the Believers
Equip the Body
Empower the New Generation
Engage the Marketplace
Extend the Kingdom of God
OUR CULTURE
THE LIGHTHOUSE DNA
Healthy Spirituality
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, and that true Christian life means full submission to Him. We hold fast to the authority of Scripture, allowing it to shape our beliefs, behaviors, and choices. In our gatherings, we make space for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to flow in a way that brings order, encouragement, and growth. We seek to live balanced lives, grounded in devotion to God, committed to our families, and faithful in our callings.
Life-Giving Relationships
We know that real transformation happens in the community when we show up honestly and walk with one another authentically. We are a multigenerational church, where people from all walks of life can grow into fully committed disciples of Jesus. In every season of life, you are deeply valued. Love is the thread that holds us together, and we believe that no story is ever too far gone for God's grace to restore.
A Culture of Dynamic Ministry
Lost people matter to God — so they matter to us. Each person is uniquely gifted to serve in God’s Kingdom, and we discover our true purpose when we put Him first. We celebrate the diversity of the global Church and joyfully partner with what God is doing around the world. In every act of service, we carry joy because in Jesus, we’ve found a reason to rejoice.
OUR STATEMENTS OF FAITH
What We Believe
Lighthouse is affiliated with the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC) and so we affirm their doctrinal statement as follows:
A. The Bible, the Word of God, its divine, verbal, plenary inspiration and its inerrancy and infallibility as originally written; and its supreme and final authority in faith and life (2 Tim.3:16; 2 Pet.1:20-21);
B. One God eternally existing in three distinct Persons, Father, Son, Holy Spirit (Deut. 6:4, Matt. 28:19, 2 Cor. 13:14);
C. The Lord Jesus Christ:
1. His essential, absolute and eternal Deity (Phil2:6; John 1:1,14: Heb. 1:8)
2. His true and sinless humanity (1Pet. 2:22; 1 John 3:5)
3. His Virgin Birth (Isa. 7:14; Matt. 1:20)
4. His substitutionary, propitiatory death (Matt. 20:28; Mark 10:45, 1Tim 2:16)
5. His bodily resurrection (Acts 1:11)
6. His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19; Acts 1:20)
7. His coming again with power and great glory (Titus 2:13; Rev. 10:11-16)
D. The Holy Spirit who shows the redeeming purpose of God in the world by convicting the world of sin, of righteousness and judgment and by regenerating, uniting to Christ, indwelling, sanctifying, illuminating and empowering for service all who place complete faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Heb. 9:14, John 14:26, 1 Cor. 2:10-11, 1 Cor. 12:11);
E. The total depravity of Man because of the Fall (Gen. 3:10-24);
F. Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ apart from works (Eph. 2:8);
G. The everlasting bliss of the saved and the eternal suffering of the lost (Dan. 12:2; John 5:24; Rev. 20:14; Luke 16:24-26);
H. The real spiritual unity in Christ of all redeemed by His precious Blood (1 Cor. 12:13; Eph. 1:4-6; 4:11-15, 5:25,26); and
I. The necessity of maintaining, according to the Word of God, the purity of the Church in doctrine and life (1 Cor. 6:19,20; 1 Thess. 4.3).
